WaTcHiNg 2012

 .

Last night I went to the movies with Kelvin. Looking down the lane, it has nearly been two and a half years since I have been to the cinema... I have even forgotten how cold it could get inside the cinema. The popcorn, the loud sound effects, the darkness... It just brings back the good old memories.

Kayden's latest picture (nearly two years old):

Cute smile, but slightly blurrish

How does he look in his new jumper?

Adjusting his Mickey Mouse watch

"Posing"

Still in sleep mode... Woke up very early that morning.

Though sleepy, he wanted to learn his ABCs

Recently Kelvin bought a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse lego set for Kayden. Kayden loves playing with Mickey doll  that he does not even want to let anyone else hold it...

The whole lego set

Mickey, Minnie and Pluto

Up close and personal with Mickey and Minnie

Kelvin also bought another lego set for him - they are the cars' characters from the cartoon "Cars". I did not manage to take pictures yet, but will post them soon....

My Very Own Hard Cover Book

One of my assignments for this semester was to make a hard cover book. I have done a paper bag book, a big book but never a hard cover book... It might look easy to do but trust me, it's not!
One of my friends even approached a book store to ask for help. It costs nearly $90 to do a hard cover book (printing plus binding and a glossy hard cover). Just imagine if we were to go out to a book store to buy a hard cover book - I doubt it will cost that much.
I thought through for nearly a week till I came up with the solution. Instead of using cardboard papers, I used envelopes where there are sponges inside. After struggling for two long days, I managed to produce a hard cover book. I think I did a fair job out of it.

Kayden just loved to brush his teeth.... Mind it, he wants to do it on his own, without any help... I guess he learned it from me. Every night, before bed, I always brush my teeth and sometimes, he tends to go into the bathroom with me....I think the only curious thing in his mind is why there is a whitish paste along my mouth (the toothpaste) and when he brushes his teeth, there is nothing there..
I took some pictures of him brushing his teeth and by the looks of it, it seems he's a pro in doing it by himself already...

Doesn't he look cute? Hehe.... I just adore him so much

Boo-boo

Last night Kayden made a boo-boo! Luckily, my coffee was in a plastic thermos cup instead of glass.... We were playing around when he suddenly took notice of my cup on the computer table. Thinking it was empty, he grabbed it. Although I had a feeling that he will throw the cup onto the floor, I was late in grabbing it away from it by a mere few seconds! CRASH... Coffee spilled everywhere..  and Kayden stood there watching the spilled coffee. One funny scene was that when our domestic worker was cleaning the spillage, she missed a spot and Kayden pointed it out to her! We had a good laugh...

My BdaY

As of yesterday, I am one year older. Whoa... nearly reaching the BIG 30!!! and you never realize that.... Took a few pics of my birthday cake - it's triple chocolate with cheese- very FATTENING right? We nearly tasted all the cake flavours from Bakelyn. This one is a new flavour, so my husband and I decided to try it out. Last year, I had strawberry shortcake - was nice but kind of hard because of the biscuits in between the layers.

Reviewing my past, many happenings had occurred whether it be good or bad. Well, life's never smooth. You got to have ups and downs - that's what makes life interesting. Each and every day is a brand new start.

TiMe ReaLLy fLieS!

A year and a half have passed by and now Kayden's nearly two already. The jacket he's wearing was a gift from his godmum and at that time, he couldn't wear it. But now, you can see it fits him perfectly.

Getting his hair done by his Ah-Ma (if you noticed the hand, he was trying to do it himself)

When I asked him to smile, this is how he does it nowadays...

Took this in the evening, when everyone was in the living room

I brought him shopping that morning. This biscuit was chosen by him.
He put it in the shopping basket himself.

Last week, we celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival. We brought Kayden down to the city to take a look at some lanterns placed in the Chinese temple. However, this year was a disappointment. Not only that there were only a few lanterns, even Kayden did not enjoy himself overly much. I remembered the year before, he was so enthusiastic when he saw the lanterns. This year he did not really bothered much about them.

However, he had fun with his own lanterns. His Uncle An has bought him some lanterns from Cebu and he loved them...
